Joyce,
John F.X., Jr. Of Holbrook, passed away surrounded by his laving family on May
27th at the age of 66. Born in Boston, John was raised in Jamaica Plain. He
graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the North End and
Northeastern University. John was the VP of Sales at Symmons Industries in
Braintree and was an active member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
John enjoyed sports all his life, standing out as a star hockey player at
Christopher Columbus High School where he later went on to coach, and continued
to play for Northeastern University. He also loved to golf and was a long-time
member at Thorny Lea Golf Club. Beloved husband of Deborah (Mackie) Joyce.
Loving father of Lisa Covina and her husband Ernie of Billerica, Ryan Joyce of
Holbrook, and the late John F. Joyce III and Sean R Joyce. Loving son of the
late John F. X. Joyce Sr. and Anne
M. (Corkery) Joyce. Devoted brother of Daniel Joyce and his wife Mary of
Scituate, Anne Mahe Dowgiallo and her husband Theodore of Randolph, Linda Davey
and her husband Richard of Randolph, and Margaret Joyce of Randolph. Cherished
grandfather of Mia. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and
great-nephews. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt.
37), Holbrook Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 8:15am followed by a funeral mass at
St. Joseph's Church in Holbrook at 9am. Relatives and friends are respectfully
invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, May 29th from 4-8pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers,
