The October technical topic will be on Maximizing Water Efficiency. This will be a lunch time meeting held on October 11, 2016 held at Boston Society of Architects (BSA) located at 290 Congress Street, Suite 200 Boston, MA. We have the room from 11:00am to 2:00pm, check in will start around 11:30 with the speaker starting at 12. Please make sure you are on time. This session will focus on an overview of water use and trends in the U.S., with a focus on “green building” programs. A discussion on green design restrooms applications and how to choose water saving products to best meet your client’s needs.
          The session will be presented by Mr. Steve Callahan from Sloan Valve Company. Mr. Callahan has been in the plumbing, water quality and water efficiency industry for more than 25 years. Beginning with 3M/Cuno in the early 90’s, Steve has been in key product management, marketing and sales positions both regionally and nationally where he honed his expertise in water filtration and treatment. He co-founded PureTech Waters in CT, the bottler of Vital H2O, and was President of the company for 8 years before joining Watts Water Technologies. At Watts he helped launch OneFlow®, a break-through water treatment technology to treat and control hard water scale, in both commercial and residential potable water applications. Steve has spoken at more than 40 ASPE chapters throughout the U.S., mostly covering water quality and efficiency technologies, including presenting at the 2011 ASPE Technical Symposium in Orlando, FL.
